Course / education

Active ways of teaching are used increasingly frequently, in company training programmes as well as in regular education.

In the corporate sector, they are used to impart knowledge or teach skills that are required in a new work situation or job. In education, competence focused teaching is gaining popularity and justly so. Knowledge, attitude and skills are brought together from the word 'Go', and the result is that the graduate's skills and competencies better match the requirements of companies.

Simulations fit very well into the trend towards active ways of teaching where learning and working are brought more closely together. Increasingly often, a simulation, game simulation or a game is part of a training, course or workshop.

The topics the simulation covers can be very diverse. In each case, practising, experimenting and learning in an almost-real work situation is found to be motivating and seen to ensure the best transfer of what has been learned into the daily work practice.
